Dr. Petros Efthimiou is a Board Certified Physician in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at the rank of Clinical Professor of Medicine & Rheumatology. He is Licensed to Practice Medicine in NY, NJ and FL (telehealth).
A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Ioannina Medical School in Greece, Dr. Efthimiou became a Research Scholar at Northwestern University College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, while his Rheumatology Fellowship took place at the Hospital for Special Surgery and New York Presbyterian/Cornell Campus.
Dr. Efthimiou has expertise in the treatment of autoimmune disorders including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis, myositis, SLE-lupus, Sjogren’s syndrome, Vasculitis, Pulmonary Hypertension, Scleroderma, Osteoporosis, Auto-inflammatory Syndromes and Adult Still’s Disease. Dr. Efthimiou has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and medical textbooks and has served as Clinical Investigator in multiple, international, randomized controlled trials. He has served as an ad hoc reviewer and editorial board member in peer-reviewed rheumatology journals and is a frequently invited speaker in national and international medical conferences.
Olga Petryna, MD, FACR
Dr. Olga Petryna is a Board Certified Rheumatologist at New York Rheumatology Care, PC, an Elite Concierge Rheumatology Practice in New York, New Jersey and Florida. She completed both an Internal Medicine and an OB/GYN residency prior to completing her Rheumatology fellowship training at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical School. She has held several faculty appointments at Major Academic Medical Centers (Mount Sinai School of Medicine and New York University-NYU Langone). Dr. Petryna’s research interests include the immunologic basis of disease, immunofertility and the application of novel therapeutics in autoimmune and auto-inflammatory rheumatic diseases. Her unique medical background allows her to provide exceptional care and expert consultations and second opinions to expectant mothers and women with autoimmune conditions who are trying to conceive. She has been invited to present her research at several major national and international meetings and has published research articles in high impact peer-reviewed rheumatology journals. She has been named as “Top Doctor” by Castle -Connoly, “Best Doctor” by New York Magazine and “Super Doctor” by the New York Times Magazine.
